When I started Mumology, I was a young mother sharing my experiences, learning about motherhood and documenting the little moments that came with raising my son.
Today, my son is 10 — and life has taken me far beyond motherhood.
My journey of helping people actually began when I was a teenager. Over the years, that passion for service became an important part of my life and eventually led me into public life and politics in 2010.
Today, as Mumbai General Secretary of Mahila Congress, my work continues to be rooted in something very simple — being there for people.
Being a resident of Bandra West and Khar West, I have had the privilege of working with people from every section of my community — from slum communities to housing societies — being involved in local issues, festivals, civic concerns and working alongside the BMC, police and other authorities wherever I can be of help.
My journey has also strengthened my belief in women’s empowerment, community and giving people a voice.
And then there is motherhood.
Being a mother has given me an even deeper understanding of children, families and the kind of community we want to create for the next generation.
So today, Mumology is evolving.
It will still be about motherhood, but it will also be about people, women, children, community, social responsibility, creativity and the experiences that shape us.
Because I have always believed:
You don’t have to change the whole world to make a difference. Sometimes, you just have to be there for one person.
This is not a new beginning.
It is simply the next chapter of a journey that started many years ago.
